This would normally be our potluck night.
This week we are, instead, going on a field trip. It is top secret though so if you want to go you will have to talk to another @sg person f2f.
We will try to be at the Long Haul about 6pm to pick people up though (if you need a ride).
there was conflict and drama! for the 26th we are either going to read something from revolution of everyday life/treatise on etiquette for the younger generations
or we are going to read the new primer from strangers in a tangled wilderness, called life without law.
but also, we are going to start playing a bit more at group. come prepared this time to talk a little about your favorite anarchist, even if it is just when their birthday is. 🙂
ps: and because folks are funny – here is a take off on the Lw/oL, life without lol.
Since we always hope to keep up with the jones-es (of 50 years ago) we bring a discussion about perlman’s introduction to II Rubin’s Commodity Fetishism.

It is going to be a barn burner.
We are reading an excerpt from the Wu Ming introduction to Muntzer.
We are potlucking at 7pm.
the bookfair in seattle had a panel discussion on decolonization. a video of it was put up on youtube (this is a bad idea and shouldn’t have happened, but whatever). one of the presenters, khalil from oakland had some interesting and controversial things to say. we will be watching his presentation and talking about it.
this was suggested by david, who will not be at the reading group — so we should all come prepared to weigh in on some of the topics, ie homogeneity, the four wheels of capitalism, and the idea of invisibility (which obviously comes up also in tiqqun), perhaps.
also – there is this video on youtube of a decolonization panel at the seattle bookfair. we will NOT be talking about this this week, but if people are interested in it, perhaps the next? just noting it here so that the collective memory is engaged. 😉
gregg is dousing us with the cold hard truth of futurism. here are the readings
