future readings

may 25, we’ll be reading the chapter cindy brought in from Anarchism and the City
http://www.amazon.com/Anarchism-City-Revolution-Counter-Revolution-Barcelona/dp/1849350124 .
the chapter is called “mapping the working class city” and she takes no responsibility for how good or bad it is.
then for two weeks we’ll be reading “introduction to civil war” by tiqqun (imposed pdf here http://tarnac9.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/introcivilwar1.pdf)
and then
we are going to start on june 15 reading letters of insurgents as part of the insurgent summer (insurgentsummer.org) project, and we’ll see how working on other people’s schedule works for us. (a lot of reading per week, for some dense text.)

  1. Hi. I’m a Bay Area ex-pat living in a plains state. I have plans to ultimately return to SF after school, but for the mean time I’m stuck in the Midwest. For the time being I’m looking for a “good” anarchist group to become affiliated with until I return to the City. My income is low, but I would be willing to throw down some cash as I can afford it, as a donation for membership. Unfortunately, I was briefly introduced to Andrew Yeoman and after some level of communication, I’ve decided that BANA is not the best match for me. Can your group help point me to a more respected ally?

Thanks much- feel free to email or post response.

  2. I wish I could write like you as Margaret Laurence once said “When I say “work” I only mean writing. Everything else is just odd jobs.”
